A national program aimed at bringing positive male role models into the lives of students has made its way to Ironwood. Overwhelming support for the Watch DOGS program is already having an effect on the community.
Andrew DiGiorgio took a day off from work at the Ironwood City Police to go back to school.
“We were playing rocket ships” said DiGiorgio, a watch dog and Director of Public Safety for Ironwood City Police. “We are working on our vertical jump and worked up a sweat, did some sit ups and pushups. I am a little sore now, but I had a lot of fun. The kids had fun and it was a good time.”
