Valentine’s Day: Make them Feel Loved

There are differing opinions about Valentine’s Day. Some couples—and dads—use it as an opportunity to go all-out in expressing love to their wives and children. At the other extreme, some view it as a “Hallmark holiday”—created by greeting card, candy and flower companies to guarantee an annual bump in sales—and boycott the red hearts and chocolate.

Valentines Day art I heart UIn some ways, all the attention given to Valentine’s Day in stores and on social media creates expectations for all guys to come through with something special. And we don’t want those we love to think we’re just going through the motions. But each relationship is unique, whether it’s a couple or father and child, and it’s fine to take an approach that works for you—as long as it also works for your spouse or child, and makes them feel loved and appreciated.
