If we exceed our goal, we will expand distribution to reach even more fathers through additional pregnancy resource centers, reentry programs, and community partners. Greater support means placing this guidance into more hands, earlier and more often, multiplying its impact across families and communities.
Two Generations, One Mission
The First 1,000 Days grew out of a conversation between two fathers at different stages of the journey. Micah writes from the perspective of a new dad, asking the questions that surface in the early days, while his father, Dr. Ken Canfield, brings decades of experience walking alongside fathers who want to lead their families well.
Together, their dialogue blends curiosity and wisdom, research and reflection, shaping guidance that is practical, grounded, and deeply human for fathers who want to begin well.
